I want to be rich.
May 21, 2025
I want to be rich.
Not in money but in meaning.
I want the richness of a heart that’s been mended.
The richness of a comforting hug amidst heartbreak and sorrow.
I want the richness of family who forgives.
The richness of hearty laughter filling quiet spaces.
The richness of lifting someone’s heart, of speaking life, of offering encouragement.
I want the richness of a full heart, stirred by the beauty of creation;
the warmth of sunlight on my skin seeping through to my spirit.
the refreshment of flowing water, lush green grasses, and wispy skies that quiet the soul.
I want the richness of true friendship.
The richness of being known and loved.
I want the richness of deep, unwavering love.
Love that is patient and kind.
Selfless and sacrificial.
Truthful, trusting, hopeful, and persevering.
This kind of richness can be found and can flourish, thankfully.
Richness that has been beared by the fruit of a Christ-centered life.
Thank you Jesus, for making me rich.
