Easter Sunrise
Sunday, March 31, 2024
The sun is rising,
The Son is rising,
The parallels of these events, and the differences, both beautiful.
One expected every morning,
the other a shock to all one morning.
The beauty that is in a sunrise is breathtaking,
Hues of the dawn’s deep blue, blending with the orange sun to reveal the day’s light. Clouds slowly drifting across the horizon, masking the sun for one moment and revealing it in the next, ray by ray.
Darkness to light through the unveiled beauty in the colors of the sky.
The beauty in the realization of the rise of our Savior, unimaginable,
Grief and mourning,
turned to hope in the morning.
Doubt being diminished through the proof Jesus brought back to his people, as himself, bodily risen. His pierced hands and wounds remaining as evidence for the suffering He bore for our sins, so that we may have the eternal life we don’t deserve.
Darkness to light through the newfound hope we have in a secured eternity.
The sun is risen.
He is risen.
